Face-the-Mountain-1200x630

We all have a mountain to climb. What’s yours?

Mountains Come in All Shapes and Sizes

When I look at my life, my physical body is my mountain. My climb is all about managing pain and being resourceful as each day brings new and subtle changes.

Every day brings a new way to look at an old path worn by the feet and hands of those who have gone before me.

Insight, inspiration, new devotion and a realization of sacred practice sustains me.

The Climb

The climb to the top is not as important as the climb itself. You will perspire. You will get creative and employ your imagination. You will experience pain and joy.

Make the effort. It is a worthwhile endeavor.

You are more consciously aware when you climb. You see, you must be conscious of where you put your hands and your feet; and you must know your center of gravity, your center point.

Your focus and awareness of your positioning is vital when you climb.

Focus on One Step at a Time

Every step has the potential to raise you higher or help you fall.

Whatever your next step is, ask yourself:

  • Is this next step something I believe will raise me higher?
  • Is this next step vital to my climb?
  • Is this next step in alignment with my center point?
  • Is this next step too far out of my reach?

Take Care of You

You will need to stop and rest occasionally. Do it.

Look up to gain perspective on the journey ahead. Breathe. Get something to eat and drink. Rejuvenate. Revitalize. Renew.

When you’re ready, continue your climb.

Make Sure Your Gear is in Good Repair

What tools are you using for your climb? Whatever they are, make sure they are in good repair and up to the task at hand.

If they meet your needs, keep going. If they need some help, engage your resourcefulness and look at what you have around and within you to use.

Stay calm. Remember to breathe. Pause for power. Then proceed. Click To Tweet

The greatest tool you can have in your toolkit is a firm belief that you can and will rise to the challenge and make it to the top of your mountain.

You Are Not Alone

Whatever mountain you face, you are not alone. There is a collective wisdom that has gone before you that will show you different paths you can take to arrive at your destination. Choose wisely. You can always choose another at any time on your climb.

Loving my strengths and learning more about them every day.
